Rotel is Re-introducing the Iconic Michi Brand
Built on the history and heritage of Rotel, the new Michi range is the result of over three years of audio engineering development and feature bespoke, in-house manufactured components. All new models include high-resolution front panel graphic displays, IR remote control, plus RS232 and Ethernet connections for simplified automation and control system integration.
The P5 preamplifier features multiple analog balanced and unbalanced inputs/outputs, a built-in MM/MC phono stage, aptX Bluetooth streaming, and extensive digital connectivity options (Toslink optical, S/PDIF, USB, RJ45 Ethernet, and RS232.) It also includes MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology which enables hi-res streaming.
Its Class-A preamplifier circuit is fed by Dual AKM 32-bit/768kHz DACs and is supported by an array of 17 independent voltage regulators driven from 2 custom-designed toroidal transformers with low ESR smoothing capacitors.
The S5 stereo amplifier delivers a consistent 500W per channel into 8 ohms and over 800W into 4 ohms.
It's a Class AB design with dual monoblock architecture and is equipped with twin, oversized, in-house manufactured 2,200 Volt Amp toroidal transformers, housed in epoxy filled enclosures eliminating noise and vibration. The large array of 32 high-current output transistors is supported by 4 patented, slit foil, low ESR bulk storage capacitors totaling 188,000uF.
Connectivity offers balanced and unbalanced inputs and high-quality speaker binding posts, while the central high-resolution display has an option to show either a peak power meter or spectrum analyzer.
Built like the S5 the Michi M8 is a monoblock Class AB amplifier that can deliver 1,080 watts into 8 ohms and an astounding 1,800 watts into 4 ohms.
